Design bespoke cabinets and bed frames

Measure width, height, depth and panel thickness, and identify the project and storage requirements.

Where to find itWorkspace → Bespoke furniture
  1. 01

    Set the overall size

Start from a wardrobe, TV unit, bed frame or blank cabinet. Enter dimensions, panel thickness and materials. Bed frames also support platforms, headboards and storage.

  2. 02

    Divide the cabinet

Select a bay in the front view or structure list. Add dividers, shelves, rails, doors and drawers. Use actual panel tools rather than appearance annotations.

  3. 03

    Inspect the structure

Switch between the interior and exterior. Edit individual finishes and check that moved panels do not intersect. Use undo, redo or suitable bay merging.

  4. 04

    Save and place

Save, then add the furniture to an apartment and level. The placed object uses that saved version; later source edits do not silently overwrite it.

Check your work

Check matching dimensions and the correct door and drawer layout in the editor and apartment.

Can I export CNC production files?

No. Machining joints, curved panels and CNC files are not supported. The model supports design and communication.

Does AI rendering change the cabinet structure?

No. Edit actual panels in the editor; an AI render is a separate visual result.

Assemble furniture from free panels

Plan panel dimensions and relative positions. Save a copy before converting an existing cabinet.

Where to find itBespoke furniture → Free panels / Convert to free panels
  1. 01

    Start an assembly

Use a free-panel design or convert a cabinet. Add panels or bays before generating an image or placing the assembly in an apartment.

  2. 02

    Add panels and bays

Draw actual panels with line or rectangle tools, or add open, door or drawer bays. Enter dimensions and add components along any of six connection directions.

  3. 03

    Align precisely

Use grid snapping, drag or numeric positions. Inspect front, top and side views. Split bays, duplicate or remove parts, and undo when needed.

  4. 04

    Save and export

Name and save the design. Export a dimensioned SVG or place it in an apartment. Check the 3D composition and references before generating a render.

Check your work

Check thicknesses and joints, then reopen and select individual parts.

Does every drawn line create a panel?

Only the free-panel geometry tools do. An appearance annotation tells AI what to change but does not create geometry.

Is this a production cutting list?

No. The workflow does not include complete machining, edge-banding or production cutting lists.

Build editable furniture from a reference photo

Use a clear front photo and actual dimensions. This is user-confirmed approximate modelling, not automatic recognition or an exact replica.

Where to find itBespoke furniture → Photo modelling
  1. 01

    Upload and choose a type

Select cabinet or sofa / armchair. For cabinets, align the four front corners and enter actual width, height and depth.

  2. 02

    Confirm the components

Mark cabinet bays and assign doors, drawers or open sections. For sofas, set seats, backs, arms, legs and chaise sections.

  3. 03

    Refine appearance

Check handles, panel sizes and colours. Photo colour sampling is affected by lighting; compare the 3D view. One photo cannot fully reconstruct upholstery curves or carving.

  4. 04

    Compare and place

Compare the photo and front model, edit individual parts, then save and place. Create another design when redividing or revising so the original remains available.

Check your work

Confirm actual editable components and measured dimensions, and review remaining visual differences.

Is this automatic AI-to-3D conversion?

No. The user confirms dimensions, divisions and components; the photo is not converted into exact geometry automatically.

Can it recover hidden details?

One photo cannot establish hidden structures, carving, creases, stitching or the original wood grain.

Save versions, create alternatives and export images

Check the design name and project, especially when it is open in several tabs.

Where to find itDesign studio → Save / Save as / Versions / Model image
  1. 01

    Save your design

Save at reviewable milestones, or use Ctrl / Cmd+S. Undo and redo correct current edits but do not replace persistent saving.

  2. 02

    Create an alternative

Use Save as and a clear name such as Design B · open kitchen. The new design is saved independently and keeps the original intact.

  3. 03

    Review past versions

Check the timestamp and content before loading a historical version. Save it as a new version after confirming; merely opening it does not save it.

  4. 04

    Export a model image

Frame the 3D view, open Model image and download a PNG. Use the separate SVG, DXF or PDF workflow for plans and CAD drawings.

Check your work

Check for unsaved changes and reopen both A and B to verify their content.

What should I do with a version conflict?

Another tab or colleague may have saved changes. Preserve your work and compare the latest version before overwriting anything.

Do existing AI renders update with the design?

No. Each result retains the source version used for that generation.
