Place doors and adjust opening direction

Measure the opening width and height and confirm hinges and door type. Create the supporting wall first.

Where to find itDesign studio → Door catalogue / select door
  1. 01

    Place a door

Choose a door and place it on a wall in 2D, or use the wall list and numeric position. Check the preview for overlap with other openings.

  2. 02

    Size the opening

Set width, height and position along the wall. Anchor changes to end A, the centre or end B, then verify the final dimensions.

  3. 03

    Set the door leaf

Adjust hinges, opening angle and material, then inspect in 3D. Replacing the style retains the existing opening and relevant settings.

  4. 04

    Check all views

Inspect the same door in 2D, 3D and CAD. For older designs with an opening between two wall pieces, check both wall ends after resizing.

Check your work

Confirm dimensions, direction and finish, with no overlapping openings.

Why will the door not fit?

Check wall length and height, nearby openings and wall junctions. Adjust size or position first.

Must I redraw the wall to change the style?

No. Replace the selected door and then check the clearance needed by its new leaf.

Set windows, sill heights and exterior views

Measure window width, height and sill height. Preset views illustrate a setting; they are not the actual site view.

Where to find itDesign studio → Select window / Environment
  1. 01

    Position the opening

Set width, height, sill height and position along the wall. Keep the top within the wall and avoid other openings.

  2. 02

    Choose frame and glazing

Adjust window type, divisions, frame material and glazing. Inspect the proportions from inside rather than relying only on the plan.

  3. 03

    Set the environment

Choose a view and adjust direction and brightness. Hide the exterior background without discarding its settings when needed.

  4. 04

    Inspect with full walls

Use an interior view with complete walls to check light and composition. Recheck the visible environment and frame before generating a render.

Check your work

Reopen the saved design and confirm sill, divisions and environment.

Can every window have its own view?

No. Windows share the design environment; independent per-window backgrounds are not available.

Is the background the actual site?

No. It is preset panorama material, separate from the real project view.

Add square, rectangular and round columns

Measure the existing columns. The editor creates a layout model and does not perform structural calculations.

Where to find itDesign studio → Add column
  1. 01

    Choose a shape

Select square, rectangular or round, then place it in 2D or on the 3D floor. You can place it centrally and enter coordinates afterwards.

  2. 02

    Set dimensions

Enter width, depth and height, or diameter for a round column. Square and round columns retain equal sides and their centre when resized.

  3. 03

    Position and finish

Move or rotate the column, use numbers for precision and choose its finish. Columns stay on the floor rather than behaving as floating furniture.

  4. 04

    Check the architectural layer

Inspect the column on the architectural layer and in CAD. Save so its location and dimensions remain consistent with 3D.

Check your work

Compare the model with measurements and check doors and circulation.

Are columns hidden in cutaway view?

No. They retain their full height to show how they relate to the interior.

Can this determine whether a column can be removed?

No. The model has no structural analysis or demolition approval function.

Add floors, stairs and a whole-home view

Measure floor-to-floor heights and plan stair connections. One design supports up to six levels.

Where to find itDesign studio → Add level / Level settings / Stairs
  1. 01

    Add an upper level

Copy the current architectural layout or start with a blank floor. Give each level a clear name and use the selector to switch.

  2. 02

    Set floor height

Enter the distance from this floor to the next. Individual wall height is a separate wall setting.

  3. 03

    Connect stairs from below

Choose straight, L-shaped or U-shaped stairs and a destination level. Set dimensions, steps, rails, materials and location. The upper floor receives a stair opening.

  4. 04

    Inspect the whole home

Open the whole-home 3D view and inspect stacked floors and stair openings. Return to an individual level for editing, then save the design.

Check your work

Keep furniture and drawings on the correct level and match the stair rise to the floor height.

Can I edit furniture in the whole-home view?

That view is for inspection. Return to the selected level to edit or generate an AI render.

Are curved stairs or cross-floor tours supported?

Curved stairs, deleting floors and automatic cross-floor walkthroughs are not currently available.
