Create a two-bedroom 2D / 3D design

Measure the apartment width, depth and ceiling height, and create its project first.

Where to find itDesign studio → New design
  1. 01

    Choose a starting point

Create a design, select its project and give it a clear name. Start with an apartment template or a blank canvas if you need to draw your own partitions.

  2. 02

    Set dimensions

Enter the width, depth and ceiling height in centimetres. A template is only a starting point: replace its dimensions with measurements from the site.

  3. 03

    Check 2D and 3D

Check walls, openings and rooms in 2D, then switch to 3D to inspect their spatial relationships. Both views use the same design.

  4. 04

    Save a version

Save before placing furniture. Use Save as for an alternative design so the original remains available for comparison.

Check your work

Reopen the design and check its project, dimensions and layout.

Is a template ready for construction?

No. It is an editable starting layout. Check dimensions, structure and construction requirements separately.

What if 3D is unavailable?

Use 2D if the device cannot run WebGL. A computer or tablet is recommended for detailed design work.

Import a PDF floor plan and calibrate its scale

Prepare a PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB and one measured length. AI recognition requires an enabled company service.

Where to find itDesign studio → Upload floor plan
  1. 01

    Select and crop

Choose the project and upload the plan. For a PDF, select the correct page, rotate it and crop to one apartment before recognition.

  2. 02

    Recognise or trace

Run recognition and inspect wall centre lines, openings, room names and review flags. If recognition fails or AI is unavailable, trace over the original manually.

  3. 03

    Calibrate two points

Select both ends of a measured length and enter its actual value in mm, cm or m. Use the measured length, not an AI estimate.

  4. 04

    Review the layout

Work in the separate calibration draft. Adjust the overlay, correct walls and openings, then confirm the layout to enter 3D. Architectural changes require another review.

Check your work

Check the scale against a second measured length and verify rooms and openings.

Does DXF export include the original image?

No. It exports the created elements. Use Download original to obtain the source file.

Will import overwrite my design?

No. Import creates a separate calibration draft.

Draw partitions and edit wall dimensions and finishes

Confirm measured wall dimensions and the room layout. Try architectural changes in a copy first.

Where to find itDesign studio → Add partition / select wall
  1. 01

    Draw a partition

In 2D, select the partition tool and place its start and end. Use snapping to join endpoints. A closed exterior outline allows the floor to follow the apartment shape.

  2. 02

    Set exact dimensions

Edit endpoints, length, angle, thickness and height. After dragging, check the values and the resulting wall corners and opening positions.

  3. 03

    Finish each side

Choose each wall face separately, apply paint or a material, and adjust skirting. Keep wall height above the existing door and window openings.

  4. 04

    Inspect in 3D

Check corners, flooring and openings in 3D, then save. If this is an imported plan, review the layout again after architectural changes.

Check your work

Inspect from above and inside. Look for overlapping openings or disconnected walls.

Why is the floor still rectangular?

Check that exterior walls form a valid closed outline. An open outline uses a rectangular floor.

Can I edit walls in CAD?

The architectural underlay is locked in CAD. Edit walls in the 2D / 3D tools.

Add rooms and a balcony

Measure room width and depth, choose an entrance position and check how the new area joins the existing apartment.

Where to find itDesign studio → Add room / Add balcony / Rooms
  1. 01

    Choose a room

Select a room preset, then edit its name, width, depth, wall height and door. Use Add balcony for balcony layouts and connections.

  2. 02

    Position the preview

Drag the preview or enter coordinates. Check that it connects correctly and does not cut through existing partitions. Cancel before confirmation to leave the design unchanged.

  3. 03

    Confirm openings and furniture

Check shared walls, the door and room name. Use room arrangements for major furniture, then review anything that could not fit.

  4. 04

    Review room by room

Use the room panel to focus on an area, furniture and colours. Return to the whole-home view, check circulation space and save.

Check your work

Check the connection, access through the door and the original furniture positions.

Why is a room position rejected?

It may cross a partition, overlap completely or be detached. Adjust its coordinates; existing walls are not automatically demolished.

Do room colours change the walls?

Room colour schemes mainly affect furniture assigned to that room. Edit wall and floor finishes separately.
